NATIONAL SUMMARY

Milder air will stream into the Ohio Valley and Northeast

tomorrow with sunshine returning to most areas. Showers will

exit the New England coast early in the day as the storm

that drenched the region late in the week moves out to sea.

An area of high pressure will settle along the upper Gulf

coast, promoting dry, sunny conditions across the Southeast.

Intense heat will persist across the Southwest and southern

Plains, with dry weather continuing. A cluster of showers

and thunderstorms is forecast to extend across the central

parts of the Rockies and Plains. Some of these storms could

be heavy and locally gusty. A late-season storm will plow

into the Pacific Northwest with needed rain for the drought

areas. Snow levels may fall to pass level during the

overnight hours.
