Hospital district commissioner announces resignation

MOSES LAKE — Grant County Hospital District No. 1 Commissioner Joe Akers has announced his resignation, effective May 31. Akers said he is moving out of the district, which operates Samaritan Healthcare.

Akers has served on the commission since 2013 and currently is the board chair.

Akers’ position is at-large, which means any qualified resident of the district can apply for the seat. People who want more information about applying for the position can contact Samaritan hospital at 509-765-5606.
