NATIONAL SUMMARY

Cloudy, seasonably cool weather is forecast across the

Northeast tomorrow. Spotty showers may riddle interior

areas. A storm system will swiftly move through the

Southeast states, bringing a soaking rainfall and localized

flood potential from the Tennessee Valley to the lower

mid-Atlantic. To the south, severe thunderstorms are

possible along the Interstate-10 corridor of Alabama and

Florida. Damaging winds, downpours and even an isolated

tornado or two are all possible. Dry weather is forecast to

build into the central and southern Plains. Meanwhile, the

Northwest states are expected to stay cool and unsettled

with widespread rain and high-elevation snow showers. Damp

weather will reach the northern Plains by the nighttime

hours. Dry conditions will hold across California and the

Desert Southwest.
