Monroe House accepts homemade masks

| March 25, 2020 10:53 PM

MOSES LAKE — Monroe House is now among the extended-care facilities that accept homemade air-filtering masks.

During a nationwide shortage due to the COVID-19 outbreak, some local assisted-living and extended-care facilities said recently they take donations of face masks.

Monroe House had previously chosen not to accept masks, said director Linda Edwards, but its owners changed their minds. “We would be happy to have somebody do masks for us,” Edwards said.

People who want to donate masks, homemade or the N95 type, can contact Edwards, 509-765-2200.
