EPHRATA — The Grant County Board of Commissioners has suspended all in-person public meetings until further notice.
The ban follows a proclamation by Gov. Jay Inslee suspending portions of the Open Public Meetings Act that required in-person meetings. The decree is one of many the governor has issued to impose “social distancing” in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.
The county also will no longer take in-person public records requests, and said that while the office will strive to meet the five-day requirement for records, that requirement has also been suspended “until further notice.”
