Sage ‘n Sun Festival, other events canceled, postponed

EPHRATA — Ephrata Chamber of Commerce officials have announced the cancellation of the 2020 Sage ‘n Sun Festival, scheduled for June 12 and 13.

Chamber President Rita Witte said festival organizers had received cancellations from vendors and that organizers were unsure how to proceed in light of the COVID-19 outbreak. The festival relies on local businesses, and many of the businesses are temporarily closed and their owners unavailable. Sage ‘n Sun will return in 2021, she said.

The COVID-19 outbreak also led to the cancellation of Bourbon & Bowties, a fundraiser scheduled for late April and sponsored by the Columbia Basin Foundation.

Another Moses Lake event has been postponed, the annual Cellarbration for Education banquet, sponsored by the Big Bend Community College Foundation. It has been rescheduled to Sept. 19.
