The Nation's Weather for Tuesday, March 24, 2020

_____

NATIONAL SUMMARY

A storm system that brought along a brief bout of wintry

weather across the interior Northeast will begin to track

off the coast by tomorrow. Along the New England coast,

strong wind gusts could result in some coastal flooding

issues. Elsewhere, a separate storm system will bring along

a threat for showers and thunderstorms across portions of

the mid-Mississippi Valley and mid-South. Some of the storms

that fire across the mid-South could be severe. In between

storm systems, most of the Plains will have dry and settled

conditions throughout the day. A storm system will begin

taking aim at the Northwest, bringing along beneficial rain

and mountain snow to the region. As the storm system comes

ashore, strong wind gusts will create large surf along area

beaches.
