Georgia lawmakers debate powers for governor to fight virus
ATLANTA (AP) — Georgia's lawmakers are debating how to grant Gov. Brian Kemp broad powers to combat the spread of the new coronavirus, as the governor called for restrictions on assisted living facilities to protect the elderly and cases in the state continued to climb.
