Ephrata seeks to limit contact with employees

EPHRATA — The city of Ephrata is asking residents who have business with the city to do as much of it as possible by phone or online or even the U.S. mail for the duration of the coronavirus outbreak.

“The city of Ephrata is open for business, however with the coronavirus response taking place we are asking our citizens to limit their personal contact with city employees at city hall,” said City Administrator Mike Warren in a news release.

“If you are experiencing any signs of illness, please give us a call so we can assist you with your business,” Warren said. “We are taking these measures to protect our employees so that we can continue to provide the excellent services that our citizens have become to rely on.”

Warren said he hopes that the city will soon be able to return to normal operations “and that this emergency will pass.”
