NATIONAL SUMMARY

A storm system will spread damp weather across the eastern

third of the country tomorrow. A wintry mix can occur across

northern New England, while all rain is forecast across the

mid-Atlantic and upper Ohio Valley. Scattered showers and

thunderstorms will rumble on the tail end of the system from

the western Gulf Coast to the Tennessee River Valley. Warmth

will build across the central and southern Plains.

Meanwhile, spotty showers will dampen South Dakota and

Nebraska with a bit of snow to the north. A significant

storm is forecast to bring heavy rainfall and the risk of

flooding to Southern California, with soaking rain spreading

to the Desert Southwest. The Northwest can expect a dry,

seasonable day.
