Alabama execution delayed by Supreme Court to review appeal
ATMORE, Ala. (AP) — Alabama was set to put to death an inmate Thursday evening for the 2004 slayings of three police officers shot by another man at a suspected drug house. The U.S. Supreme Court halted the execution plan at least temporarily to review his appeal.
