The Nation's Weather for Tuesday, March 3, 2020

_____

NATIONAL SUMMARY

Showers and thunderstorms will extend from the Southeast to

the lower Mississippi Valley and Texas tomorrow. A boundary

separating cooler air across the Central states from warm,

humid and summerlike air in Deep South Texas and Florida

will serve as the focal point for the unsettled weather.

Steadier rain will move from the mid-Atlantic into the

Northeast as a storm system moves northeastward across the

region. Elsewhere, chillier air will return to the Midwest,

northern Plains and western Great Lakes region in the wake

of the storm and be accompanied by gusty winds. Heavy rain

will heighten the risk of flooding in western Texas and

southeastern New Mexico. Generally dry and tranquil weather

will grace the West, but a new storm will bring rain and

mountain snow back to parts of the Pacific Northwest.
