REQUEST FOR LETTERS OF INTENT TO BID Aging & Adult Care of Central Washington (AACCW) is seeking qualified contractors, agencies & organizations to provide in-home respite services. These services are for pre-determined unpaid caregivers who have primary responsibility for the daily care of an eligible participant with a functional disability to prevent institutionalization. These services are on a temporary or long-term basis. Service area is Adams, Chelan, Douglas, Grant, Lincoln & Okanogan counties. Services must cover all six county areas. RESPITE: provides temporary relief for unpaid caregivers by providing help with personal care tasks such as ambulation, bathing, body care, dressing, eating, personal hygiene, positioning, self-medication, toileting & transferring, plus assistance with essential shopping, laundry, housework, meal preparations, travel to medical services & wood supply for fuel for the participant/care recipient. Reimbursement rate for provided services is currently $30.52 per hr and changes only as the state rate changes. Monthly and/or quarterly reports with supporting documentation required. Contractors, agencies, & organizations must have a Home Care or Home Health license. Workers must receive health benefits, required background checks, caregiver training and certification. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the Grant County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) in the Commissioners' Hearing Room located on the 1st floor of the Grant County Courthouse at 35 C Street NW in Ephrata, Washington, on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. The purpose of the public hearing is to review community development and housing needs, inform citizens of the availability of funds and eligible uses of the state Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, and receive comments on proposed activities, particularly from lower income persons residing in the Grant and Adams County areas.
