| June 30, 2020 8:49 PM

ROYAL CITY - The Port of Royal Slope announced on Tuesday, June 23, that it will be selling its building to Grant County Fire District No. 10.

“The Port of Royal Slope has negotiated to sell Grant County Fire District No. 10 the Port’s current office facilities including the entire lot and the equipment garage currently under construction,” said a press release announcing the sale. “This property will be a big improvement for Fire District No. 10 and a great fit for their needs while providing the port with enough capital to build a new port office.”

A public hearing on the sale will take place on Wednesday, July 8, at 2 p.m. at the current Port of Royal Slope building, 4975 Road 13.5 SW, outside Royal City. The sale of the building will be finalized on July 20, when the Grant County Fire District No. 10 will take possession of the building.

The Port of Royal Slope will rent an office from Bartelson Transport, located on Road 13.9 southeast of the current port office, until a new building can be built.
