NATIONAL SUMMARY

Strong to severe thunderstorms will rumble across portions

of the Ohio Valley and Northeast tomorrow. Flash flooding

and damaging winds will be the main threats with the storms.

Scattered storms will be found across portions of the

Tennessee and Mississippi valleys. A spotty storm or two may

be found during the afternoon in the central and southern

Rockies. Much of the rest of the nation will be dry. A hot

day is in store for much of the mid-Atlantic and Southeast

away from the immediate coast, with many locations topping

90 F. Temperatures in the 90s will also be widespread from

North Dakota to Texas. The West will continue to endure

extreme heat with temperatures once again over the century

mark from the San Joaquin Valley down through the Desert

Southwest as wildfires continue to burn.
