Arturo Cantu
February 24, 1958 – June 21, 2020
It is with great sadness we say that Arturo Cantu, (Art) died June 21, 2020, with his family by his side at the Swedish Hospital in Seattle, Washington.
At his request, no service will be held.
Mr. Cantu was born Feb. 24, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois, to Guillermo and Maria Delos Angeles Cantu.
Art graduated from TSTI in McCallan, Texas, where he got his degree as pipe welder. He worked for his father’s company for many years as a pipe welder and an auto mechanic. In his early ages Mr. Cantu would migrate from Texas to Washington with his brother Robert Cantu where they worked for Techana Farming in irrigation and trucking.
In his later days Mr. Cantu loved to watch sports, fighting events and boxing. His favorites shows were the old westerns and his favorite Tejano band was Mazz. He loved his dog, spending time in the yard and reading the Bible.
If you knew Mr. Cantu you know he was fearless and courageous, loved to laugh, make jokes, and have a good time, was never the type to be crossed, but was always there when you needed him.
Mr. Cantu is survived by his fiancé Jaime Silva; his son Arturo Cantu Jr. and wife Vanessa; his son Brian Cantu; daughter Brandy Larsen; stepdaughters Rachel and spouse Jose, Karissa and spouse Benny and Korina; 11 grandchildren; eight sisters; five brothers; several nephews and nieces and his good friends Charlie (Ocean) and Jimmy (Keys).
He was preceded in death by his mother and father Guillermo Cantu and Maria Cantu, late wife Olga-Rodriguez Cantu and son Eric Cantu.
He will be loved and missed by many.
