Singapore leader calls early elections despite pandemic

SINGAPORE (AP) — Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong called Tuesday for early general elections despite the coronavirus, saying the outbreak has stabilized and there is no assurance it will be over by next April, when the current government's term ends.
