NATIONAL SUMMARY

A cold front will stretch from the eastern Great Lakes to

the southern Plains tomorrow and initiate plenty of stormy

activity for the eastern half of the country.

Strong-to-severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging

wind gusts, hail and heavy downpours are forecast to fire up

from northern Kentucky to western New York. An additional

area of potent storms will focus over the Arklatex region.

Hail, damaging wind gusts and heavy rain are also possible

with these storms. Much of the West will remain dry as

drought conditions worsen and wildfires continue to burn

across portions of the Southwest. Heat will continue to

increase across the West with several areas recording

triple-digit heat.
