'Obligation to act swiftly' seen on police discipline in NYC
NEW YORK (AP) — The swift action of suspending a New York City police officer after he was seen on video putting a Black man in what officials say was a banned chokehold is a sign of “unprecedented times,” Police Commissioner Dermot Shea said Monday.
