Veterans clinic in Wenatchee closes
WENATCHEE — The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs clinic in Wenatchee has closed after four staff members tested positive for COVID-19. All of the staff at the VA’s Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Wenatchee will be tested and will isolate themselves until the clinic reopens, according to a press release.
Chelan-Douglas Health District and the Washington Department of Health are helping to trace contacts of veterans who visited the Wenatchee clinic June 8-16.
Clinic operators have set up a mobile medical unit in the clinic parking lot, at 2530 Chester Kimm Road. The mobile clinic opened Thursday and will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Patients with previously scheduled appointments will be contacted about their options for treatment, including the mobile clinic, by telemedicine or video. Patients or their families who want more information can contact the clinic at 509-663-7615.
