NATIONAL SUMMARY

Showers and thunderstorms will persist across portions of

the mid-Atlantic tomorrow. Any heavier thunderstorms will be

mainly confined to eastern North Carolina and southeastern

Virginia. Flooding concerns will continue for much of the

region following days of nearly constant rainfall. Areas

from the Northeast to the Midwest and much of the Plains

will remain dry and rather sunny. Very warm conditions will

continue for much of the Plains as heat begins to shift east

into the Midwest. Severe thunderstorms can produce hail and

damaging winds over the Dakotas from tomorrow afternoon

onward. Showers will linger for Montana, while the rest of

the Northwest dries out. Conditions conducive for the spread

of wildfires will continue in the Southwest.
