Coronavirus: Total rises to 337
MOSES LAKE — The total of confirmed cases of coronavirus in Grant County rose to 337 on Monday.
Grant County Health District reported 18 cases Friday, 11 cases over the weekend and 38 on Monday. Monday’s new cases were among people who worked for the same employer, people who attended social gatherings, people who came into close contact with confirmed cases, and a group of agriculture workers. Several had no known link to confirmed cases.
Five coronavirus patients are hospitalized.
Health district officials said the new cases show what they called community spread. They are urging people to avoid large gatherings, follow social distancing guidelines, wear a mask in public, wash hands frequently or use a hand sanitizer with at least 60 percent alcohol.
The district did not report ages of the patients, the number of negative tests, number of tests pending results and probable cases, due to the volume of cases.
