Driver strikes WSP vehicle

SPOKANE — A Warden man driving on Interstate 90 in Spokane drifted onto the right shoulder and struck a Washington State Patrol vehicle Sunday morning, according to a WSP memo.
Ronald Umland, 39, was traveling eastbound on I-90 near milepost 279 in the right lane when his car drifted onto the shoulder and struck a parked WSP vehicle occupied by Tyler Howland, 28.
Howland was transported to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center, and charges are under investigation, according to WSP. Umland was not injured.
