1 dead in rollover accident

WARDEN — One person is dead following a single-vehicle accident near the Grant-Adams county line early Saturday morning, according to Washington State Patrol.

Jason B. Nicely, 46, was driving a 2008 Chevy Silverado pickup southbound on state Route 17 south of Road 12 SE when his vehicle left the roadway to the right and struck a private driveway. The pickup rolled and came to a stop in a field. Nicely, who was not wearing a seat belt, was declared dead at the scene. It was unknown whether drugs or alcohol was a factor. The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene.
