Auditor will examine huge theft of unemployment benefits

OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — The Washington state Auditor will investigate the payment of hundreds of millions of dollars in unemployment benefits to criminals who used stolen identities to file claims during the coronavirus pandemic.
