May 31, 1952 – June 1, 2020

Donald R. White, 68, of Moses Lake, passed away unexpectedly June 1, 2020. He was born in Bremerton, Washington, on May 31, 1952, son of the late Robert and Trudy White. He is survived by his spouse Sandra and his siblings Kathy Schimke, Robert White Jr. and John White plus numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sisters Bonnie Sanders and Terri Pichcuskie.

Don grew up in Waterville where he spent most of his childhood until his teens, at which time he moved with his family to Moses Lake in 1967. He graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1971. After high school Don moved to Elk, Washington, where he worked as a repairman, repairing televisions and radios, one of his many passions as he was one that could repair anything he got his hands on. In 1983 he moved back to Moses Lake and worked in various fields, but his primary profession was working for the Moses Lake School District as a custodian.

Don (Butch) loved the outdoors and enjoyed many activities such as fishing, hunting and camping, to name a few. He also took up playing the guitar, scuba diving and woodworking. Don was a volunteer firefighter for District 4 in Grant County. After several years he retired from Grant County Fire Department and received several awards. Repairing old clocks and radios was his primary interest after retiring from the school district.

Butch loved working for the school district and had many good stories to tell about the people he worked with.

He will be dearly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
