California courts eye ending rental, eviction protections

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — California judicial leaders are considering an early end to statewide emergency orders suspending foreclosures and evictions during the coronavirus pandemic, while state lawmakers on Wednesday scrambled to expand the safeguards.
