INVITATION FOR BIDS CITY OF OTHELLO WELL 10 PUMP STATION You are hereby invited to bid on the City of Othello "Well 10 Pump Station Project". Separate sealed bids will be received by City of Othello at City Hall, located at 500 E. Main St., Othello, WA 99344 until 11:00 AM, June 24, 2020. All bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes with the project name marked plainly thereon. The proposed work included in this contract generally includes the following: Construction of an approximate 25' x 16' CMU well pump house building with metal roofing, soffits and fascia Construction of an approximate 10' x 10' pump shelter building Furnish and install 1,500 gpm, 400 HP open line shaft vertical turbine pump, motor and appurtenances as required to result in a complete pumping system Furnish and install MCC and VFD system capable of operating the pumping system 10-inch interior piping, valves, flow meter, and appurtenances 12-inch exterior piping and appurtenances 6-inch pump control valve and associated pipe, valves and appurtenances 3-inch pressure relief valve and associated pipe, valves and appurtenances 6-inch drain piping and appurtenances Electrical power, lighting, heating, and ventilation Electrical conduits, wires, cables, telemetry and controls as required to operate the pumping system Site work including site clearing and grubbing; earthwork including earth fill, compaction, finish grading, gravel surfacing Site fencing and gates Construction of 12-inch drainage piping to existing swale 12-inch site piping, 4-inch building drain piping and appurtenances Liquid chlorine storage room, chlorine pump and injector ESTIMATED PROJECT COST: $600,000 The parcel is located on the southwest corner of the intersection of Cunningham Rd and Taylor Rd next to P.J. Taggares Park. Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided in the Contract Documents. A Bid Bond in an amount not less than 5% of the total amount bid shall be made payable to City of Othello. If the successful bidder fails to enter into the Contract or furnish satisfactory Contract Bonds within the time specified in the Contract Documents, the Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the City. 100% performance and payment bonds will be required from the successful bidder. Plans and specifications may be obtained at no cost via electronic transmission from the City of Othello. Paper copies of the plans and specifications may also be obtained from the City at the above address for a non-refundable fee of $50.00. Plans and specifications can be requested by contacting the City during normal business hours. Copies of the plans and specifications are on file for review at various construction councils and plan centers. All potential bidders shall confirm that they are on the plan holders list prior to the bid opening. The plan holder will be added to the list if the Contract Documents are requested directly from the City. Bids received from contractors not on the plan holders list will be rejected for being non-responsive. All work performed on this project will be subject to Washington State Prevailing Wage Rates. The City of Othello reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive technicalities, and in its sole judgment accept the bid which it deems is in its best interest.
