The Nation's Weather for Wednesday, June 10, 2020
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Hot, steamy weather will grip the East tomorrow ahead of an
advancing cold front. Record highs may again fall in parts
of the interior Northeast. As the front slices through the
steamy air, showers and thunderstorms are forecast to erupt
from the eastern Great Lakes to the upper Gulf Coast, with
severe weather possible, mainly in the northern part of this
corridor. Rain and strong winds are forecast to linger
across the Upper Midwest as Cristobal sweeps into Canada as
a rain and windstorm. Winds may remain strong enough to snap
tree branches and cause power outages, as well as lead to
lakeshore flooding on the Great Lakes. Mainly dry weather is
in store out West, as heat grips the Southwest and warmth
expands northward to the Canadian border.
