NATIONAL SUMMARY

Dry, hot weather with increasing humidity is expected

across the Ohio Valley and Northeast tomorrow, with the

potential for a few record highs to be broken. Heavy rain

that can lead to flash flooding and locally damaging winds

are possible across the North Central states as what's left

of Cristobal races northward over the Mississippi River

Valley. Isolated tornadoes may also be spawned just to the

east of Cristobal's circulation. Showers and storms will be

scattered about the Southeast, while the South Central

states are dry and sunny. Warmth is forecast to build over

California and the Great Basin as dry weather continues over

the Southwest. The Northwest will be cool as a storm brings

areas of rain along the coast and spotty showers farther

inland.
