Quincy small businesses may apply for a grant

QUINCY — Small-business owners inside Quincy city limits have the opportunity to apply for a grant through the city government and the federal CARES Act. Each applicant is eligible to apply for up to $5,000.

The grant is open to small businesses with 10 full-time employees or less and have a physical storefront inside city limits. The money can be used for lease/rent/mortgage payments, normal operating costs, non-city utilities, marketing and supplies related to social distancing.

Quincy businesses can apply for the grant on the city of Quincy website through June 30 at 5 p.m. or until the funds are allocated. The grant will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
