Clashes, tear gas in Beirut as protests turn to riots
BEIRUT (AP) — Lebanese riot police fired tear gas at protesters in central Beirut on Saturday, after a planned anti-government demonstration quickly degenerated into rioting and stone-throwing confrontations between opposing camps.
