Coronavirus: Five new cases in Othello

OTHELLO — Five new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Adams County on Wednesday, June 3, bringing the total to 76. The new cases are all in Othello.

A lot of the new cases were acquired over the Mother’s Day weekend that involved group gatherings, according to a press release from the Adams County Health Department.

As of Tuesday, 597 COVID-19 tests have been sent out. Of those, 488 have been negative. Nineteen tests’ results are pending.

Fifty-three individuals with confirmed COVID-19 cases in Adams County have recovered. Currently, there are 23 probable cases of COVID-19.

Of the confirmed cases, 41 are male and 35 are female. Seven of the cases are in those 19 years old and younger. In the 20- to 39-year-old age range, there are 29 cases. There are 28 cases in the 40- to 59-year-old age range. Twenty-one cases have been reported in the 60- to 79-year-old age range. No cases have been reported in those 80 years old and older.

Currently no one in the county is hospitalized or has died from COVID-19. There have been 69 cases in Othello, four in Ritzville and three in Lind.
