Sabey seeks air permit revision

QUINCY — Sabey Data Center Properties has applied to modify an air permit for its Intergate.Quincy facility at 2200 M St. NE, Quincy. The state Department of Ecology has opened a period for public comment on the proposed changes.

Sabey’s current permit allows up to 44 backup generators at its data center campus in Quincy. With construction of two new buildings at the campus, Sabey proposes a total of 69 backup generators.

The permit changes include conditions to protect public health from air pollution, such as limits on the amount of fuel and number of hours the engines can operate, according to Ecology.

The department will hold a public webinar at 6 p.m., June 24, to answer questions. Visit ecology.wa.gov/SabeyComment for details on how to join online or by phone.

A public hearing will be scheduled if there is enough interest.
