Temple athletic director Patrick Kraft is being hired by Boston College to fill the same role, a person involved in the negotiations told The Associated Press on Wednesday.

Kraft replaces Martin Jarmond, who left Boston College last month after a short stint to become athletic director at UCLA. The person spoke to AP on condition of anonymity because the hire is still being finalized.

Kraft has been at Temple since 2013, starting as a deputy AD before being promoted to lead the department in 2015. Under his leadership, Temple football has had one of its longest runs of sustained success, despite changing head coaches three times.

Kraft, a former Indiana football player, has also been active at the NCAA level as a member of football oversight committee and Division I Strategic Vision and Planning Committee.
