Voice of Democracy essays being accepted

OTHELLO — Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) posts are accepting the submission of essays with the theme of “Is this the country the founders envisioned?” Submissions are being accepted at VFW posts through Oct. 31.

Essays will be eligible to compete in various levels of competition. The national winner will receive a grand prize of $30,000. Over $2 million in prizes will be awarded.
