Adams County reports new cases of COVID-19

OTHELLO — Since Wednesday, May 27, at least one new case of COVID-19 has been reported every day in Adams County. One new confirmed case was reported Tuesday.

In the past week, 17 new cases were reported by the Adams County Health Department. Six cases were reported on both May 27 and June 1. Two cases were reported on May 30. One new case was reported on May 28 and 29.

As of Tuesday, June 2, the total of confirmed cases in the county was 71. Sixty-four of those are in Othello. Lind and Ritzville had been holding steady with three and two cases, respectively, for over a month. On Saturday, May 30, two new cases were reported in Ritzville. Of those tested positive for COVID-19, 53 have recovered.

The total number of tests submitted is 583. Of those, 471 were negative. Results for 27 tests are pending.
