The Nation's Weather for Wednesday, July 29, 2020

_____

NATIONAL SUMMARY

A weak disturbance will swing through the lower and eastern

Great Lakes tomorrow, triggering spotty showers and

thunderstorms. Away from this disturbance, most areas of

the Upper Midwest, Ohio Valley and Northeast will be dry.

Downpours are forecast to congregate over the central

Plains, with flash flooding possible, as well as locally

gusty storms. Portions of the Southern states are also

expected to be drenched by hit-or-miss storms, mainly during

the afternoon hours. The Four Corners states will be drier

than recent days as high pressure builds over the region.

Meanwhile, some strong storms are possible over the northern

Plains, with downpours, damaging winds and hail being the

primary threats. Dry, hot weather will be had for areas just

inland of the Pacific coast.
