NATIONAL SUMMARY

Thunderstorms in the mid-Atlantic will be most numerous in

the Carolinas tomorrow. Tropical Storm Hanna will move

closer to Texas, bringing the potential of flooding rainfall

to the coast of Texas and western Louisiana. Spotty

afternoon thunderstorms will occur in the central and

southern Rockies. Farther west, afternoon thunderstorms will

be capable of producing damaging wind gusts and dust storms

in portions of Arizona. Elsewhere, thunderstorms are

forecast to rumble across Florida, especially in the

southern peninsula. Much of the Southeast will experience

temperatures in the 90s, except where clouds and rain from

Hanna hold temperatures in the 80s. Only a small area of

southeastern California, western Arizona and southern Nevada

is likely to have temperatures over 100.
