NATIONAL SUMMARY
Afternoon thunderstorms from New England through northern
North Carolina could contain flash flooding and damaging
winds tomorrow. A couple of thunderstorms could occur at any
time across the Ohio Valley, but are expected to be less
intense. A tropical disturbance could produce showers and
heavy thunderstorms along the central Gulf coast. Farther
west, afternoon thunderstorms will dot the Rockies. Some
thunderstorms in Arizona could cause damaging wind gusts and
even dust storms. Elsewhere in the West, dry weather and
sunshine are expected. Otherwise, typical summertime heat
will be felt in many locations with 90s F common in the
mid-Atlantic, Southeast and High Plains. The Southwest will
also have normal hot weather with temperatures over 100.
