NATIONAL SUMMARY

A front draped across the Midwest will sink southeastward

tomorrow and bring rounds of showers and thunderstorms to

much of the region. Scattered storm activity will also dot

portions of the humid Southeast and mid-Atlantic, while much

of the Northeast will stay dry. Very high temperatures will

continue to bake the Interstate-95 corridor. Farther west,

monsoonal-moisture-driven thunderstorms will fire up in the

afternoon for parts of the Southwest. Dangerous heat will

ramp up over the Northwestern states as dry and sunny

conditions persist. Outside of areas immediately adjacent to

the coastline, California will remain unseasonably warm,

while much of Nevada continues to swelter.
