NJ lawmakers pass bill authorizing $10B in borrowing
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — New Jersey's Democrat-led Legislature passed legislation Thursday authorizing Gov. Phil Murphy to borrow nearly $10 billion to plug budget holes from the coronavirus outbreak, and Republicans immediately sued, arguing such debt is unconstitutional.
