Othello Farmers Market plans to open this month

OTHELLO — The Othello Farmers Market plans to open July 23 at the El Rancho Event Center at the junction of Highway 24 and Bench Road.

The market will be at a different location than past years as Pioneer Park was unavailable due to COVID-19 regulations.

Sharon Skorick, manager for the Othello Chamber of Commerce, said El Rancho meet’s the markets needs because it is fenced off that will allow for a dedicated entrance and exit. According to Skorick, only nine vendors will be allowed and if Adams County is still in Phase 2 then organizers will have to look at a drive-thru market.

The farmers market will be open each Thursday from July 23 to Aug. 27 from 3 to 7 p.m.
