Coronavirus: 28 new cases in Grant County

GRANT COUNTY — There were 28 new cases of the coronavirus reported in Grant County on Thursday, including seven cases in Royal City, six in Moses Lake, five in the Quincy area, five in the Mattawa area, two in Warden, one in Ephrata and one in the rural Grant County area near Othello, according to Grant County Health District.

As earlier reported, a Moses Lake man in his 70s who had the coronavirus has died. It was the seventh death in Grant County linked to coronavirus.

Two previously reported confirmed cases were identified as residents of another county. The health district removed them from the count, bringing the total of cases in the county since the pandemic began to 755.

Thirteen of the cases currently require hospitalization.

The three communities in the county with the most cases are Moses Lake with 207, the Mattawa area with 183, and the Quincy area with 175.
