NATIONAL SUMMARY

The Great Lakes, Ohio Valley and mid-Atlantic will continue

to sweat it out as hot and humid conditions persist

tomorrow. Showers and thunderstorms can rumble to life

across these areas in the afternoon. Farther south, a

sluggish system will continue to bring rain and heavier

thunderstorms to the Southeast. Severe thunderstorms are

likely across portions of the northern High Plains from the

afternoon onward. Any storm from Montana and North Dakota,

to the southern portions of Saskatchewan and Manitoba,

Canada, can unleash large hail, damaging winds and heavy

rain. Much of the West will remain dry, while heat begins to

creep into the central and southern Plains.
