Coronavirus: 79 new cases over the weekend
GRANT COUNTY — There were 79 new cases of the coronavirus reported in Grant County since the last report Friday evening, including twenty-five in Mattawa, fifteen in Moses Lake and Royal City, ten in Quincy, and seven each in Warden and Ephrata, according to Grant County Health District.
Two previously reported cases were also determined to be of residents from another county, bringing the countywide total of cases since the pandemic began to 691. Sixteen people are currently hospitalized, including several who were hospitalized over the weekend, according to the health district.
The hardest-hit areas of the county, Moses Lake and the Mattawa and Quincy areas, make up just over three-quarters of all cases in Grant County, according to the health district. In Moses Lake, 192 cases have been reported as of Monday, with 170 in the Mattawa area and 166 in the Quincy area.
