| January 26, 2020 10:42 PM

Kay Laffranchi, 58, passed away peacefully on Monday, Jan. 20, with her family around her after a prolonged battle with cancer.

Kay leaves behind her husband of 36 years Lanny Laffranchi; her daughter Marissa (Ty) Cobb and their three girls Madissyn, Kashlynn and Aspyn and her second daughter Katie Bartz and her four children Ryder, Ryah, Romeo and Baby R. Kay also leaves behind the rest of her family and friends whom she dearly loved and enjoyed spending time with. She was preceded in death by her mother Charlotte VanNess and her best friend Linda Lynn.

Kay was a loving, caring, outgoing and happy person despite all that she was battling. Kay loved camping with friends and family, fishing, the ocean and her cats. She loved watching her grandkids grow and achieve their dreams and driving her Corvette. Kay spent many years reading meters for the Grant County PUD. She loved her job and then was able to retire and enjoy life doing what she loved. Kay will always be missed and remembered because of the great wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and family rock she was. There will be a celebration of life Feb. 1 at 11 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ephrata Washington.
