ROYAL CITY — Red Rock Elementary School is back in use three years after a flood destroyed the school. At the time, the school was repaired temporarily until a full modernization could be done.

On Friday, students, parents, staff and community members celebrated the ribbon cutting at the remodeled school. The ribbon cutting happened three years to the day that students returned to school after the flood.

Principal David Andra, Superintendent Roger Trail and board president Craig Janett all spoke at the event. A group of third-graders, who were kindergartners at the time of the flood and who had lived through the remodel of the building, cut the ribbon.
