Ernesto Q. Garza

July 28, 1939 – January 15, 2020

Ernesto Q. Garza, 80, of Othello, Washington, passed away peacefully Jan. 15, 2020. He was born in El Llano, Los Ramones, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He was born to Maria and Victor Garza on July 28, 1939.

Ernesto married the love of his life Esperanza Escamilla on Dec. 31, 1961.

In 1968 Ernesto moved with his young family and wife to Othello, Washington, where he remained, never wanting to be anywhere else.

We will miss his soft heart and kind smile to all who came to know him.

Preceding him in death were his parents Victor and Maria Garza, multiple brothers and sisters and daughter Gloria Garza.

He is survived by his loving wife Esperanza Garza, sons Jaime (Mila) Garza and Javier Garza; daughters Tiodora and Susana (Miriam) Garza; sister Mirtala (Anselmo) Cantu; brothers Antonio (Minerva) Garza and Porfilio Garza; one granddaughter Ruby Garza; three grandsons Jaime (Sarah) Garza, Ariel (Corrine) Garza and Jose Garza and many great-grandsons and great-granddaughters.

A memorial service will be held at Bethel Assembly of God in Othello, Washington, on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2020. The viewing will begin at 5 p.m. and service at 6:30 p.m.. Ernesto will be laid to rest at Bess Hampton Memorial on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2020, at 10 a.m.
