BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Republican leadership in the Idaho House of Representatives said Wednesday the status of one its members is unclear following his conviction in Texas of conspiracy to defraud the U.S. government.
Republican Rep. John Green of Post Falls was convicted Wednesday.
Republican House Majority Leader Mike Moyle said he wants to talk to Green to see what Green wants to do.
Moyle said he'd like to learn more about various possibilities. He said there is a process to remove a lawmaker from the Idaho House but it has never been used during his time in the House. Moyle is in his 11th term.
